Founded and endorsed by the MAA and 4As, IACT College, formerly known as Institute Advertising Communication Training (IACT) has over 30 years of experience in training and education, making it one of the leading advertising and marketing communications institutes in Malaysia. IACT initially started as a Joint Education Committee of the Malaysian Advertisers' Association (MAA) and the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents, Malaysia (4As) in the early 1970s to train young people in the advertising and marketing communications industry. The Joint Education Committee then progressed to a full-fl edged education institute in 1993 with the formation of IACT.
IACT is an accredited 'Class A' Training Provider by Human Resource Development Berhad (HRDB). It is also accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), London and the International Advertising Association (IAA), New York, a worldwide organisation that represents the common interests of Advertisers, Agencies & the Media. Achievements
Year after year, IACT students come out tops in local and international competitions. In 2007, IACT's students represented Malaysia to compete in the L'Oreal Brandstorm International finals in Paris and was awarded third prize; and first prize for Leo- Burnett & Arc Worldwide Cannes Prediction 2007. Besides that, students swept the Merit award for The Best Student Category in the Direct Marketing Association of Malaysia (DMAM) Awards.
IACT cemented its reputation as a world-class educational institution when its students won the World Champion title and Best Entry Design for InterAd in 2000.
