SAL Group of Colleges (SAL) was established in 1982 with the aim of providing quality and affordable education in a wide range of programmes. Today, SAL has emerged as one of the fastest growing advanced learning centres in Malaysia. We have established branch campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Subang Jaya, Johor Bahru, and Malacca.
Riding under SAL Group of Colleges wings is, Malaysia Institute of Integrative Media-MIIM (formerly known as Akademi TV3), a centre of excellence of higher learning in integrative media encompassing a spectrum of broadcasting, journalism and multimedia. Facilities
The range of facilities to cater to students? study needs include state-of-the-art computer laboratories with access to the Internet, networked IT labs and equipment that comprises products like LINUX Servers, Windows NT Servers, and Multimedia PCs, a comprehensive library, discussion rooms, a bookstore, a cafeteria, prayer rooms, sports facilities such as football/rugby fields and a gymnasium, as well as lecture halls/theatres.Student Support Services & Student Development Activities
The Student Representative Council is the main student body in the campus that is also in-charged of various clubs and societies like Religious and Spiritual Club, Publication Club, Nature Society, and the Indian Cultural Society.
Career guidance service is also available for students, whereby they can obtain information on programmes offered, employment opportunities within the college and in related industries, as well as issues pertaining to further studies at local and overseas institutions.
Scholarships/Financial Aid
SAL maintains a special scholarship through the STAR Education Fund for the ?3+0? Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering in collaboration with Edith Cowan University, Australia; the Bachelor of Computer Science in collaboration with University Putra Malaysia (UPM), and the Diploma in Information Technology programme which is validated and moderated by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Apart from loans and scholarships, another special scholarship scheme being provided is the MAPCU scholarship, which is opened to qualified students enrolled in the Diploma in Computer Science programme offered jointly with UPM.
