The Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) was established to offer a complete portfolio of IT education and training courses, IT and Human Resource consulting and R&D in information technology.
Supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment, approved by the Ministry of Education and funded by the Sapura Group, APIIT today is the fastest growing higher education centre for IT in Malaysia, helping it to become a nucleus of excellence for IT education and training in the region. APIIT currently operates in Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India.
APIIT's mission is to ensure a continuous supply of skilled IT professionals to meet the shortage in Malaysia and the region, to raise the level of IT development in the country, and to meet the IT goals of the Multimedia Super Corridor as well as the region.
APIIT's new purpose built complex is strategically located in the nerve center of the country's most established technology hub - Technology Park Malaysia, placing the institute among the emerging and high technology leaders of the ICT age. This provides staff and students with an invaluable opportunity to come in contact with the cream of skilled entrepreneurs, technopreneurs, and biotech & engineering professionals. This is housed within a 4 storey modern glass and aluminium structure housing lecture rooms, auditoriums, multi-purpose hall, offices, discussion/ syndicate rooms, social space, cafeteria, library, computer labs and R&D facilities.
