
TAFE College is an institution of higher learning established in 1972. The College is spread out on a 10 acre campus in Seremban, located 65 km away from Kuala Lumpur and within 45 minutes drive from KLIA.
Owned by Maju Institute of Educational Development (MIED), the education arm of MIC, the College is the result of the foresight and vision of its chairman, Dato' Seri S Samy Vellu, who is also the Minister of Works. As a pioneer in technical education, Kolej TAFE provides diploma course in IT, Business and most importantly in Engineering. Courses are developed through consultation with industrial organisations and employers to meet the current needs of the industry. These industry relevant courses prepare students to work in a recognised industry and pursue a paraprofessional career of higher education. Supervised practical training is conducted with classroom teaching combined with lectures and tutorials. Continuous assessment is carried out through written assignments, class discussions, practical work and short tests.

Academic Strengths
The majority of the academic staff have postgraduate qualifi cations. The college has graduated about 33,000 students who have been readily absorbed by the industry. The college's broad base of staff is qualifi ed, experienced and skilled to deliver diploma and graduate programmes.
The College has strong links with the industry, particularly in relation to automotive training. The College has joined hands with UMW Motor Sdn Bhd and Toyota Corporation to offer the T-TEP (Toyota Technical Education Programme). This link has enabled TAFE to train automotive technicians with exposure to the latest developments in automotive technology and with AirAsia. Recently, Kolej TAFE Seremban has signed an MOA with AirAsia Berhad to train its engineering trainees selected EASA modules.
TAFE College is an Accredited Centre under the Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK). The College has also obtained approval from JPK for the NGV system Installer and is training NGV technicians to generate qualifi ed personnel with relevant skills for the emerging CNG/NGV technology.
Customised Training for Automotive Troubleshooting, Aircraft Materials and Aircraft Maintenance Practices are also being offered. The last two are HRDF claimable.
• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology
Prepares students for employment as aircraft maintenance technicians in engineering and maintenance of mechanical, avionics or airframe components as well as support departments.
• Diploma in Automotive Engineering
Automotive Engineering graduates have excellent career prospects in the motor industry as Diagnostic Technicians, Assembly Technicians, Workshop Supervisors, Service Advisors, Fleet Engineers, Technical Assistants, Service Engineers, Service Managers, Garage Owners and as Adjusters with Insurance Companies.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering
Graduates are employed in all civil engineering organisations dealing with structural engineering, geotechnic & geology engineering, water & waste engineering, environmental management, geomatic engineering, highway & transportation engineering and construction management.
• Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering
Graduates are absorbed into the production and manufacturing industry, mechanical design system industry, plastic and rubber related industry, food industry, metal fabrication industry, automotive industry, electronic industry, petroleum and chemical related industries, shipping industry, aerospace industry and building industry.
• Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
There are ample opportunities to move into a wide range of exciting careers in Electronics, Electrical, Communications and Defence establishments. These include industries dealing with electronic systems, robotics and PLC, audio-visual equipment, analog & digital communication equipment, microprocessors and instruments, microwaves & RF, radar & satellite, optical communication systems, telecommunication switching & antenna, LCD, plasma display, disc drives, laser printers, scanners, laptop computers,designing and manufacturing of electronic products, electrical systems, managing generators, distribution of energy, transmission, usage of electricity, managing high voltage equipment, maintenance of relevant systems, regulating electrical components and supply .
• Diploma in Information Technology
The objective of this course is to enrich students in various programming areas, and to train them as software developers to meet the needs of the industry. It also focuses on key aspects of computer technology. Students would be exposed to the latest IT skills, giving them a strong foundation in problem solving, systematic planning and IT applications.
• Diploma in Management
Graduates can seek employment in service-oriented and manufacturing organisations as Administration Executives / Managers in fields like Banking, Finance, Transportation, Construction and Housing. The curriculum is designed for a balanced and integrated perspective of various management principles related to decision-making, critical thinking, computer application, writing skills, presentation, market research, management skills, sourcing of manpower and material, continuous monitoring, trouble-shooting and government policy matters. On the whole, the curriculum promotes skills to manage and understand the various managerial functions involved in managing staff and the organisation.
• Diploma in Accounting
Students completing the course can be employed in accounting careers both in the public and private sectors. They can practise as accounts assistants or audit assistants and with further experience and professional qualifications will move up to higher decision- aking roles. Students will be conversant with principles that will enhance analytical strength and the ability to learn and communicate ideas as well as financial information. Students will also be exposed to current accounting practices adopted by both the public and private sectors.

Includes four blocks of laboratories and lecture halls, workshop complex, main lecture theatre, large 2000-seater multipurpose hall / auditorium, library and Internet facilities, canteen, male/female hostel blocks, basketball and football fields, badminton courts and a TNB sub-station.
Loan / Scholarships
Loans and scholarships are available from PERKESO, KWSP, KKP, NLFCS and Commercial banks. SPM holders are eligible for loans from PTPTN, JPK and MARA for MQA accredited courses of study.
