Wholly own by Terengganu State Government, TATI was established on 11 Jun 1993 to enable skilled professionals in the field of advanced technology to contribute to industrial growth. TATI is located at Teluk Kalong, Kemaman, near the Telok Kalong Industrial Area. TATI has also a subsidiary company called TATI Production and Ruane-TATI. TATI Production is concentrating on commercial projects like tooling engineering, oil & gas industries and Ruane-TATI is focusing on non-destructive testing (NDT). The advantage of studying in TATI is that students would have the opportunity to be exposed to real working environment.

Course Outline
The courses offered by Terengganu Advanced Institute (TATI) is in line with the Skills Diploma Programmes approved by Jabatan Pendidikan Swasta and accredited by National Accreditation Board. They are the Diploma in Manufacturing (Tool & Die Making), Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering (Tool & Die Design), Diploma in Industrial Automation (Information Technology), and Diploma in Industrial Automation (Mechatronics). In addition, various short courses for those who are interested in Industrial Automation, Manufacturing Engineering and Information Technology.
Facilities
Among the facilities provided at TATI are Workshops with technologies like CNC Milling, Electronic Discharge Machining, CNC Wire EDM, Jig Grinding, and CAD Optical Profile Grinding; Computer Labs; Laboratories for CAD/CAM, Pneumatics and Hydraulic, Power Electronics, and Electrical Applications; a Library, Self-Access Centre; Sports & Recreation Amenities; Cafeteria; and Hostel Accommodation.
