Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Institute (previously known as Malaysia France Institute) is one of the listed branch campuses under University Kuala Lumpur (UniKL). It was initially set up in 1995 as a co-operation project between Malaysia and France.
UniKL MFI is an advanced technical training center under MARA, to cater for the needs of various industries, particularly in the fields of Engineering Technology such as Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Air-Conditioning, Metal Fabrication and Computer Networking as well as Industrial Management. UniKL MFI is fully supported by the Malaysian government. The main campus is strategically located in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, a fast developing industrial-academia style town about 25km from Kuala Lumpur city center and only 40 minutes away from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Facilities
Workshops and Laboratories like Hydraulic Lab, Pneumatic Lab, Metrology Room, Computer Lab, Non-Destructive Test Lab and Resource Centre equipped with a full range of the French state-of-the-art machineries are available. The Resource Center includes a meeting room, a mini theatre, media online resources, up-to-date technical references as well as leisure materials with audiovisual facilities.? Our classrooms and the Perdana Hall are air-conditioned, and there is a Surau which can accommodate 30 odd students at one time.
UniKL MFI has a network of information centers comprising of libraries, communication facilities and resources geared to the special interests and requirements of the students.
Recognition
In line with the criteria for all private institutions of higher learning, our programmes have to be LAN - approved. We have been approved to run our programmes and are working towards full accreditation by LAN in the near future.
