Lifelong Learning Campaign For All
The lifelong learning campaign that was launched by MCA is meant for all Malaysians and not exclusively for the people in the MCA party, announced party?s president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting. The objective of the campaign is to create an awareness among Malaysians on the necessity to improve their knowledge throughout their life.
The campaign contains many courses detailed in a comprehensive plan drawn up by the MCA. It is hoped that Malaysians would pursue the courses to prepare themselves for the job market and its many new challenges in the K-economy era. Datuk Seri Ong commented at a forum ?Towards A Learning Society: Issues and Challenges?, organised by the Centre for Continuing Professional Education at Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman. He quoted an example of Hong Kong University which has over 100,000 adult taking night classes.
